A press conference for the release of Sustainable Development Economics was held in Nanjing University on Saturday. Let’s take a close look.
Zhang Aijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee, unveiled the new book and delivered a speech.
Zhang Aijun said that the era is the mother of thought, and practice is the source of theory, adding that the vivid practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics has provided rich resources for theoretical innovation, making the revision and republication of Sustainable Development Economics a major event in the economic community, as well as a happy event in Jiangsu"s social science community.
He hoped that social science theorists would write their articles on the motherland, further promote the systematic research and academic interpretation of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era, and make greater contributions to comprehensively promoting the new practice of the Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu.
The Sustainable Development Economics is a revised version of the 2000 edition, which was co-authored by Hong Yinxing, former secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University, and Qu Futian, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People"s Congress and chairman of the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences.
On the basis of retaining the basic ideas and framework of the original edition, the revised version focuses on the requirements of high-quality development, the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, and the Chinese path to modernization as the guiding ideology in a bid to provide an important reference for promoting the new practice of the Chinese path to modernization.
