"Jiangsu registers over 15,500 children with autism receiving training at designated rehabilitation institutions, including over 11,000 children aged 0-6 and 4,556 children aged 7-14. We hope to encourage families of 7-14-year-old children with autism to continue participating in systematic rehabilitation training through this charity project, in order to achieve the expected rehabilitation goals," said Ma Jie, the director of the Project Management Department of Jiangsu Charity Federation.
Jiangsu registers 259 autism rehabilitation institutions with at least one designated autism rehabilitation institution at each county or county-level city.
Rehabilitation institutions improve the developmental level, daily life activities, and social skills of children with autism through methods such as social and behavioral training. Nearly 67% of children with autism can return to school for education after receiving rehabilitation training.
