In the first half of 2023, the added value of industries above the designated size in Huai’an increased by 7.2% year on year, which is 0.6 percentage points faster than the growth rate in the first five months. Out of 34 major industries in Huai’an, 21 achieved growth in the added value. The general equipment manufacturing industry, alcohol beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry, and chemical materials and product manufacturing industry experienced rapid growth, with growth rates of 48.0%, 24.1%, and 14.7% respectively. These industries collectively contributed 4.4 percentage points to the growth rate of the added value of all industries above the designated size. The contribution of new enterprise growth reached 62.7%, making it the main engine driving the city"s growth. The industrial enterprises above the designated size in Huai’an achieved a revenue of 164.429 billion yuan and a total profit of 9.937 billion yuan. The revenue cost per 100 yuan for industrial enterprises above the designated size decreased by 0.54 yuan compared to the same period last year.
