The innovative development of copyright in the home textile industry in Nantong, East China"s Jiangsu province, is being showcased at the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, which opened in Shenzhen on June 7 and will run for five days, local media reported.
The Nantong Pavilion is themed on copyright and has a blue theme color due to the city"s close proximity to the Yangtze River and Huanghai River.

Copyright protection work started early in Nantong. As early as 2008, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the National Copyright Administration awarded the city"s home textile market a Copyright Creativity Gold Award and two years later, Nantong was recognized as a national role model in copyright.
To protect copyrights and promote the sharing of achievements, Nantong has arranged sketch competitions and trade fairs for 17 years, exhibiting over 400,000 sketches.

In addition, the city has built four major pattern design trade platforms for home textiles, which has grown into a new driver of copyright development in the city"s home textile industry.
The 19th CICIF has attracted nearly 3,600 government delegations, cultural institutions and enterprises, including over 300 overseas exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, to showcase their cultural products and seek business opportunities.
A total of 100,000 types of cultural products, including books, costumes and handicrafts, and 40,000 cultural development projects will be showcased at the fair.
