He made the remarks on Tuesday when presiding over a symposium in honor of the 7th National Day of Science and Technology Workers.

Academicians Liu Zhihong, Miao Changwen, Wang Guangji, Gu Xiaosong, Dan Zhongde, and Teng Gaojun gave suggestions on the cultivation of strategic scientists and young scientific and technological talents, the construction of high-energy scientific and technological innovation platforms, the strengthening of the main position of enterprise scientific and technological innovation, the transformation and application of basic research and innovation achievements, the construction of high-level hospitals and national medical centers, the transformation of traditional industries and the layout of emerging industries, and the expansion and strengthening of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Xin Changxing said that the academicians have proposed a series of insightful insights, reflecting the noble spirit of scientists and a deep sense of patriotism by standing at the forefront of science and grasping the trend of development.

Noting that the realization of high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement is the only way to promote high-quality development, the provincial party chief briefed the academicians on the province"s plans for optimizing the layout of the provincial innovation system, building a source of original innovation, creating a globally influential industrial technology innovation center, and building a modern pioneering zone for talent development.
