Expats from across Jiangsu Province gathered in Yancheng on Tuesday and Wednesday to seek world natural heritage and explore its beautiful ecological environment with “Discover Jiangsu”. Jointly hosted by the Information Office and Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, this event attracted expats from 13 countries to participate.

5月30——31号,2023“发现江苏•寻访世界自然遗产”活动邀请外籍友人走进盐城东台,探寻自然遗产,感受文化底蕴,感知中国发展。来自意大利、马来西亚、加纳等国的外籍友人一同探寻自然遗产,感受江苏的生态文明与勃勃生机。

该活动由江苏省人民政府新闻办公室、江苏省人民政府外事办公室主办,盐城市人民政府新闻办公室、盐城市人民政府外事办公室承办,江苏省广播电视总台、中国江苏网、东台市委宣传部、东台黄海海滨国家森林公园管理中心、江苏麦秋传媒文化有限公司协办。

At the opening ceremony, the participants watched performances of music and dances to learn about the ecological culture of Dongtai. The exhibition of Hair Embroidery was also presented to expats to highlight profound cultural heritage.

启动仪式现场,嘉宾们通过舞蹈,体会了东台的生态文明,绽放勃勃生机。发绣艺术非遗传承人陈伯余老师也在现场展示了栩栩如生的发绣作品。

The two-day trip marked a combination of modernity and ecology of the city. Participants visited Yellow Sea Forest Park, Tiaozini Wetland and Badou Village to further experience the ecological culture of the city. They also enjoyed the performance of Fishermen’s Working Song and participated in the interaction of intangible cultural heritage.

在持续两天的生态文化之旅,外国朋友参观了黄海森林公园,游览了沿海滩涂湿地,巴斗渔村,并观看了省级非物质文化遗产项目“渔民号子”进一步深度感受了东台的生态文化,体验绿色项目,参与非遗文化互动。

Surrounded with towering metasequoia, swaying bamboos, and the beautiful scene of the Yellow Sea Forest in May, Dragana Ostic from Bosnia and Herzegovina said that she felt so reluctant to leave, and the temperature was so comfortable and everything there was amazing.

五月的黄海森林,郁郁葱葱,水杉高耸、翠竹摇曳。在黄海森林公园,来自波黑的江苏大学财经学院副教授娜娜神情难掩激动,她说,一路过来满眼都是绿色,宛如置身“绿野仙踪”,“天然氧吧”的生态之美令人惊艳。

“Scenery Fishing” Industry Base, which has formed a comprehensive development model of wind power, photovoltaic utilization and water surface aquaculture, left Maxwell Addae with great impression. “I think this community is just trying to make very good use of the environment”, he said, “I think the government is really smart, making good use of the wind, the water and everything that is around in this environment and they are making very good use and profitable use of the things in the environment”.

32万块电板,一个小时发电量172万度,在条子泥景区里的“风光渔〞互补产业基地,外籍友人听闻这些数据,惊讶不已。上有风力发电、中有光伏利用、下有水面养殖,这里实现滩涂资源高效利用效益最大化。河海大学工程学院学生麦斯威表示如此大面积的风能发电设施让他印象非常深刻,这里非常充分地运用了环境特点,机智地利用风能,水能和周围各种环境资源,实现再利用。

Schilliro Ambra Carmen from Italy found Badou Village fascinating that it integrates fishing with tourism. She said this was the first time she came over here and she was quite impressive about all the interesting fisherman stuff.

靠近条子泥区域的巴斗村,森林环抱,渔家本色与天然氧吧有机融合。看海潮、观海鸟、品海鲜、游渔村,巴豆村已然是生态旅游乡村典范。来自意大利的安白表示这是她第一次到这里,刚刚在馆里讲解员介绍了很多关于摆渡和渔民的故事,非常有趣。

"Discover Jiangsu" is a major brand forged by Jiangsu Province. Each year, the organizers invite expats living in Jiangsu to explore various sides of the province and introduce Jiangsu to the world.

“发现江苏”是江苏省人民政府新闻办公室着力打造的采风采访体验活动品牌,旨在通过生活在苏外籍人士的独特视角来发现江苏的美丽、魅力,并借助这些“平民大使”向世界宣传、推介江苏。
